Europe and North America Drive Automatic Strapping Machine Demand as Labor Costs and Parcel Volumes Climb
In Europe and North America, packaging facilities are under increasing pressure: warehouse labor costs are rising quarter by quarter, e-commerce shipment volumes continue to grow, and the available workforce for manual packaging tasks is shrinking. These factors have driven a sharp surge in demand for fully automatic strapping machines.
Equipped with an intelligent PLC control system, this automatic strapping machine supports continuous, high-speed operation. It features adjustable tension and uses a heat-sealing, buckle-free bonding method to ensure secure, reliable strapping. Designed for use with PP strapping material, the machine can be integrated into an automated production line or operated as a standalone unit—making it an ideal solution for securing a wide range of items, including cartons, palletized goods, and bales of recycled materials.
WORKFLOW
Threading-----Feed the PP or PET strapping around the cargo and insert it into the machine’s guide channel.
Tensioning------ The motor activates, automatically tightening the strap to a preset tension level.
Sealing------ The strap ends are joined via heat-sealing (thermal bonding)—an automatic process requiring no manual intervention.
Cutting------- Excess strapping is automatically trimmed, completing the binding process.

Market Driver → Machine Response
| Market pressure | What buyers ask for | HL-101 answer |
|---|---|---|
| Rising warehouse wage rates | Fewer operators per packing table | Fully automatic cycle, one unit ≈ five semi-automatic machines |
| E-commerce peak season | Throughput that scales without hiring | 1.5 s per strap, continuous mode, 60 kg table load |
| Mixed carton sizes | One line, many box formats | Frame 800×600 mm, customizable; strap 5–15 mm |
| High electricity tariffs | Low kWh per carton | 0.72 kW total draw, auto-stop after each cycle |
| Export carton integrity | Seal that survives container stacking | Bottom heat-melt bonding ≥90%, deviation ≤2 mm, 0–60 kg adjustable tension |
| Compliance and voltage | CE marking, local power | CE certified; 220V/50–60Hz standard, 380V and 110V options |
KEY FEATURES:
High-speed operation------- Typically can pack a dozen items per minute, far exceeding manual speed. High-speed strapping machines can produce 50-65 or even more straps per minute.
Continuous operation-------- Capable of 24-hour uninterrupted operation, ideal for assembly line work, greatly improving the entire sorting and shipping process, continuous strapping, no continuous manual operation.
